Multiple injuries: first additional gets 30% of its tariff value, second additional gets 15%.
CICA Key Facts
CICA Eligibility Requirements
- Crime reported to police — you must have reported the crime as soon as reasonably practicable
- Cooperation — you must cooperate with police and the CICA throughout
- Time limit — apply within 2 years of the incident (extensions possible in exceptional circumstances)
- Unspent convictions — awards may be reduced or refused based on criminal record
- Residency — the crime must have occurred in England, Scotland or Wales
- Loss of earnings — only payable where incapacity exceeds 28 weeks, capped at £500/week
